Where are the fields!?!
The fields we are using for all games this year are located in Longview at the Mt.
Solo Middle School. When heading west on Ocean Beach Hwy, turn left onto
Mt. Solo Road (just past Roy Morse Park), and you'll see the Middle School
on your left within a mile.
Which field is Field 1 or 2?
Field 1 is the field on your left as you look at them from the parking lot. It has a
fence in left field, but not in right. Field 2 is on the right, and is fenced from
foul line to foul line, although it's a shallow fence at the corners.
What's the rule for balls hit over the fence?
This depends which field you're on, and your gender. For women, any ball hit over the
fence is considered a home run. For men, the following ground rules will apply:
Field # 1 - Home Runs are 3 and progressive, meaning Team A
can only hit 3 homeruns before Team B hits 3 homeruns. Once each team
hits 3, then the teams may alternate by one. For instance, if Team A hits # 4 before
Team B hits # 3, the hit will be treated as a foul ball. If the batter already has
2 1/2 strikes, he will be out.
Field # 2 - Home Run Rule for guys on this field is 1 and
progressive, or more simply - progressive.
